– Benrido Collotype Academy will be using a new process of plate making developed from the traditional glass plate. Participants will learn to use this new process which uses a monochrome negative (collotype tissue) as the plate for printing. This collotype tissue provides the base where the negative can be coated with the gelatin solution, infused with the DAS photo-sensitizer that is nontoxic to the human body and the environment.
– You will need to submit your image data to us at least one week before the course starts, in order for us to prepare the plate for you.
